Festivities

Skylar had the best Halloween. It started in the morning with a big parade at her school. Then she had a party in her classroom and experienced her first pinata! She didn't really get it and she didn't really know to scamper for the goodies. But she enjoed her munchin donut and her halloween paper plate. When we got home, we took her out trick or treating. This is when she really got into it. Who knew this little one was so socialable. She said and waved hi and bye bye to every candy giver. She smiled the whole time and giggle. She enjoyed watching all the other neighborhood kids running around and she was delighted with her basket of goodies. She went through each piece one by one, inspecting the wrapper and tossing it aside to get the next one. She is into taking things out of a box and putting them back in. So we played that a while with her candy. We opened a lolly pop and let her take a lick, she made a horrific face and handed it back. Good sign. But... then we gave her a tiny morsel of a kitkat and she seemed to really like it. After all what's Halloween without a taste of chocolate??!
